About the Role

Help us tell the story of the success of our students and the impact of our program!
You'll experience the incredible collaboration of our staff, volunteers and community supporters providing critical academic assistance to students throughout Santa Clara County. Photographers are needed to capture the spirit of our work, the stories of our center, and the progress of our students. The photos you take represent the history of our 30 year prorgram.

About the Company

B.O.O.K (Building Our Own Kids) Academy is a free community service provided through the Maranatha Outreach Center in San Jose, Ca.. B.O.O.K provides a positive, safe, and quiet atmosphere for students in grades K—12 to excel in their academic studies. Four levels of services are offered through the program: homework assistance, tutoring, skill-building activities, and access to computers. A mental wellness component is also available.

Responsibilities


Qualifications

  • Extremely organized and excellent time management skills

  • Candidates must be legally able to work in the United States of America

  • On-site work required


Ideal Candidates

  • Experience taking pictures and should have own equipment

  • Excellent skills working with school age children

  • Must be able to demonstrate ability to work with people from diverse racial/cultural/socioeconomic backgrounds


Time Commitment:

  • Must be available Tuesdays and Thursdays 6:00pm-7:00pm

  • On-Site work location required


Additional Details

  • Complete an online application

  • Submit to and pass a background check(no cost)

  • Submit Health Certificate with Negative TB Test (from a physician)

  • Attend a 1 hour orientation
