About the Role

In this role, you will be responsible for both managing our brand's social media presence and creating engaging content for our platforms. You will play a critical role in refining and pushing our brand message, including but not limited to LinkedIn, Instagram, YouTube, and Website. You'll be entrusted with the weekly management of these platforms, generating engaging and audience-centric content, and effectively communicating our vision and culture. You'll collaborate closely with our in-house teams to craft innovative content and strategize its distribution.

Responsibilities

  • Develop, implement, and manage our social media strategy to align with business goals.

  • Create a detailed editorial calendar for content posting across platforms.

  • Write engaging, shareable content accompanied by on-brand visuals.

  • Write compelling captions, create engaging concepts, and post and oversee weekly content across all our social media platforms.

  • Leverage trends and analytics tools to drive content strategy and audience growth.

  • Work closely with our staff to generate innovative content ideas and ensure all content is on-brand, consistent in terms of style, quality, and tone of voice. media messages, inquiries, and comments.

  • Review analytics and create monthly reports on key metrics.

  • Curate content from our activites and events. This includes audio/video content (keynotes, interviews, podcasts) into snackable clips.

  • Post 1-2x a week, cross platform through Buffer (or direct posting) across LinkedIn and IG (stories also).

  • Host a monthly Q&A session with our team.


Qualifications

  • Experience with managing social media accounts

  • Experience with creating social media content

  • Extremely organized

  • Candidates must be legally able to work in the United States of America

  • On-site work required

Time Committment:

Commit to 10-12hr+/- per month for the (Sept-May)

Must be able to commit to Tuesdays and Thursdays

On-Site work location required

**Must have experience working remote and in a global team.

Compensation

Stipend position - $25/hr 10-12hr+/- per month

About the Company

B.O.O.K (Building Our Own Kids) Academy is a free community service provided through the Maranatha Outreach Center in San Jose, Ca.. B.O.O.K provides a positive, safe, and quiet atmosphere for students in grades K—12 to excel in their academic studies. Four levels of services are offered through the program: homework assistance, tutoring, skill-building activities, and access to computers. A mental wellness component is also available.
